Scope
This policy covers the website spanningsync.com. It does not cover Google's services or any third-party site linked from these pages, each of which has its own policy.
What we collect
The site is a set of static pages. It has no user accounts, no forms and no comment system. Our web server records standard access logs, which include the IP address of each request, the page requested, the date and time, the referring page and the browser's user-agent string. We use these logs only to keep the site running, to measure which pages are read, and to investigate abuse. Logs are deleted on a rolling basis.
Cookies
The pages themselves set no cookies. If we add an analytics service in the future, this policy will be updated to name it and to explain how to opt out.
If you write to one of the addresses on the contact page, we keep your message and our reply for as long as needed to deal with your request. We do not add your address to any mailing list and do not share it with anyone.
Links
Pages on this site link to Macworld, MacUpdate, Google Groups and X. Following a link takes you to a site we do not control.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to its use. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
