Calendars
Pair each iCal calendar with a Google Calendar. New events, edits and deletions travel in both directions, and calendars that already contain data are merged rather than overwritten.
Contacts
Keep Address Book and Google Contacts identical: names, phone numbers, email and postal addresses, notes, photos and groups all stay matched, no matter where you edit them.
Everywhere
Google becomes the hub. The same calendars and contacts reach your other Macs, your iPhone or any phone that talks to Google, and anyone you decide to share a calendar with.
Set it up once, then forget about it
Install the preference pane
Spanning Sync lives inside System Preferences rather than in your Dock. Open it, sign in with your Google account and you are ready to pair.
Pair calendars and groups
Choose which iCal calendars and Address Book groups should sync, and which Google calendar or contact group each one maps to. Anything you leave unchecked stays private on your Mac.
Let it run
Sync happens as you make changes, backed by a schedule you control. The menu-bar item shows when the last sync finished, and Sync Now is always a click away.
Why people choose Spanning Sync
It merges what you already have
Events in iCal and events in Google Calendar? Spanning Sync combines them into one calendar instead of asking you to start from scratch.
It syncs when you change something
Since version 2.0, an edit in iCal or Address Book triggers a sync within moments. You no longer wait for a timer to come around.
It handles real-world setups
Several Macs, several Google accounts, MobileMe users, and large calendars or contact lists are all supported.
It is fast
The version 3 sync engine finishes up to ten times faster than earlier releases and gives you finer control over exactly what gets synced.
It is built for the Mac
Spanning Sync is based on Mac OS X Sync Services and ships as a Universal binary that runs natively on Intel and PowerPC Macs.
It has simple pricing
$25 a year, or $65 once for a license that never expires. No tiers and no per-Mac fees. Compare the two plans →
