You can try Spanning Sync free for 15 days, after which you can sign up for either a $25 one-year subscription or a $65 one-time purchase. To purchase Spanning Sync, just
download and install the client and when prompted, click the "Buy" button.
Please create a problem report (by opening Spanning Sync, clicking "Advanced..." and "Create report") and email it to us at
support@spanningsync.com along with a detailed description of the problem, including the titles of any affected calendars and events. That will help us track down the issue.
Spanning Sync doesn't require a registration code or serial number. Just log in to Spanning Sync with the Google account name (usually a Gmail address) associated with your Spanning Sync license and you won't see the "Buy" message.
Yes, just send an email to
support@spanningsync.com with your request and both your old and new Google account names and we'll transfer your license.
Many people (including us) have multiple Google accounts, and Spanning Sync lets you sync iCal with all of them. Please read
this post for details on how to set it up. Only one Spanning Sync account is required.
Yes! Just use your domain email address and password to log into Spanning Sync.
No, but when you sync events from iCal to Google Calendar, your synchronized events will inherit the default reminder settings from their target calendar.
For instance, I have default reminders on my "Kids" Google calendar set to show me a popup 30 minutes before each event, then send me an email and then an SMS as the event gets closer. (If you've ever been late picking your kids up from preschool, you'll be with me on this.) When I create a new event in my "Kids" iCal calendar and sync it to Google Calendar, the event inherits these defaults.
Yes! Google has finally introduced their Contacts API, which has made it possible for us to add contact syncing to Spanning Sync v2.0, currently in beta. Watch the
Spanning Sync Beta Blog for more information.
Yes. Spanning Sync has been localized to German, French, Japanese, and Swedish, and we have plans for many more languages. Please see
this blog post for more information.
This architecture allows Spanning Sync to be much more secure than client-only sync solutions, and makes it possible for us to adapt to changes in the Google Calendar API without requiring our customers to install new software.
Not yet. We've had several reports of problems involving Entourage, so we're asking Entourage users not to use Spanning Sync until we can get them sorted out.
